Senior Adult Ministry
Senior Adults of First Baptist Church have a great time getting together at events scheduled especially for them.
Senior Adults hold a monthly
meeting called BEST YET TO COME!
This monthly meeting is held on the third Thursday of each month.
Each meeting includes a program of information, entertainment,
and/or inspiration. Lunch is served at the close of the meeting.
Great fun and fellowship is enjoyed each month.
Traveling is also and important
part of our ministry to Senior Adults. Short trips are planned
for lunch outings or to points of interest in our immediate area.
Longer day trips are planned throughout the year to place a little
farther away, like Charleston, Myrtle Beach or Charlotte.
These trips usually leave early in the morning and, on most
occasions, return home by dark.
JUBILANT
SINGERS is a choir for Senior
Adults that provides a great opportunity for fellowship and
ministry. Begun over twenty years ago with two churches, the
group has expanded in recent years to include seniors from more than
ten churched in the Cayce-West Columbia area. We meet on every
Thursday (except the third one - see above) at 11 a.m. at Holland
Avenue Baptist Church on 12th Street. The group presents
programs twice a year in area retirement and nursing facilities,
churches, and prisons.
Contact Charlton Bozard for
information on this ministry.
